Mega Millions jackpot rolls to $330 million for Tuesday's Drawing

Atlanta, GA--  (submitted by GA lottery)

Mega Millions is gearing up for a mega grab for Tuesday’s drawing. Because of increased sales, the jackpot was raised to an estimated $330 million to a single annuity winner. It only takes $1 for a chance to win big.

Any lucky player who matches all five white ball numbers, along with the Mega Ball number, could win approximately $12.6 million a year for 26 years with the annuity option. Or a player could select the cash option and win a single payment worth approximately $208 million.

The Symphony of Laura's Life

A Lilburn woman spent her whole life battling a form of autism -- but never knew she had it. Now, with knowledge, perspective, and one impressive musical talent, she's trying to help others in the same boat.

"Music is in everything for me," says Laura Nadine. "Everything I see, every person I meet ... it's like a symphony of life, and everyone has their own unique tune."

The symphony of Nadine's life has definitely been unique; it has been had more than its share of uncertainty. She is a violin virtuoso and, now, a music teacher for children with disabilities.

But why?

Nadine traces it back to a disorder that, for a long time, she never knew she had.

"They didn't really diagnose girls with Aspberger's [Syndrome]," Nadine says. "It wasn't even on the tip of the tongue."

10 Things a Burglar Won't Tell You

ATLANTA -- What does a burglar think when they look at your flower beds?

Could information you post on your Facebook page be of interest to a burglar?

Read this list of Ten Things a Burglar Won't Tell You.

1. Of course I look familiar. I was here last week cleaning your carpets, painting your shutters, or delivering your new refrigerator.

2. Hey, thanks for letting me use the bathroom when I was working in your yard last week. While I was in there, I unlatched the back window to make my return a little easier.

3. Love those flowers. That tells me you have taste, and taste mean there are nice things inside. Those yard toys your kids leave out always make me wonder what type of gaming systems they have.

4. Yes, I really do look for newspapers piled up in the driveway. And I might leave a pizza flyer on your front door to see how long it takes you to remove it.

Commission Rejects Lilburn Mosque Rezoning

LILBURN, GA -- A Muslim congregation has come up against another obstacle in its yearlong quest to build a large mosque in a Lilburn neighborhood.

The Lilburn planning commission Monday unanimously rejected a rezoning request. The commission's decision is a recommendation. The Lilburn City Council is expected to make the final decision.

The Dar-E-Abbas congregation wants to build a 20,000-square-foot mosque on a four-acre plot.

The planning commission cited problems with buffers and parking, as well as the potential for noise and water runoff.

The congregation filed a discrimination lawsuit a year ago. Lawyer Doug Dillard says the legal wrangling will continue as long as the city denies the congregation's application.

2 Fatalities in Morning Head-on Collision in Gwinnett County

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. (AP) - Gwinnett County authorities say two people have died in an early-morning car crash.

Police spokesman Cpl. Edwin Ritter says the accident happened around 5 a.m. Monday.

Fire department spokesman Lt. Eric Eberly says emergency personnel responding to the accident quickly determined that the drivers of both cars in the head-on crash were dead at the scene.

Eberly says it appears an eastbound vehicle crossed the center line and hit the other vehicle, which was traveling west.

The accident completely shut down Patterson Road in Lawrenceville.
