County installs informational kiosks in Justice Center

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Gwinnett County is working hard to ensure that crime victims and witnesses can find information about their cases with ease.

Earlier this week, the District Attorney's office unveiled a series of informational kiosks throughout the county Justice and Administration Center. The computer-based system available at the kiosks provides a wide range of judicial information that can be navigated through a series of inquiries.

The county hopes to expand the kiosk program to police precincts and the sheriff's department in the near future.

ATLANTA – According to the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau, “country music is a perennial Southern favorite in Atlanta and it won’t disappoint”. The music, which has its roots in the south, is known as a blend of, both, traditional and popular music. The country music genre gained widespread popularity around the mid-1900’s as music known as “hillbilly” or old-time music began to decline. Hillbilly music was a genre of music native to the people of the Ozarks. The music was usually played on acoustic instrument like a guitar or a banjo.

Over the years, old-time music changed however most of the lyrical content and instrumentation stayed the same. As it evolved, the arrangement of instruments grew to include the electronic keyboard, drums, the bass, fiddle and the harmonica.

A Unique Camp Field Trip this summer would be to visit the Lilburn Temple

Lilburn, GA --  Stemming from the Hindu belief that there can be unity in diversity, BAPS values living in harmony with others.  Worshippers and visitors of all cultures, beliefs, and gender are welcomed with warmth and respect at all BAPS Mandirs.

A Mandir is a Hindu place of worship – a haven for spirituality and a place of paramount peace.  It is also a center vibrant with social, cultural, and spiritual activities.  The BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir was inaugurated in August of 2007 after only 17 months of construction time utilizing 1.3 million volunteer hours.  The Mandir is comprised of 3 types of stone (Turkish Limestone, Italian marble, and Indian pink sandstone).  More than 34,000 individual pieces were carved by hand in India, shipped to the USA and assembled in Lilburn like a giant 3-D puzzle.
