On Saturday, April 30, 2011, the new mascot for Stars and Strikes Family Entertainment Centers made its’ debut to the community at the Dacula Stars and Strikes Family Fun Day in Gwinnett County. Corporate management with Stars & Strikes Family Entertainment Centers, LLC (www.starsandstrikes.com) – a privately-owned, Atlanta-based family entertainment company, today announced a contest inviting community members and Stars and Strikes customers to ‘officially’ name the new mascot that is a lovable teddy bear character wearing a bowling shirt and Stars and Strikes baseball cap.

The contest will run through Saturday, May 21st, with the winner being announced on Wednesday, May 25.th  The lucky winner (maybe it will be a fan from the Cumming location!) will receive four FREE summer passes, valid at any Stars and Strikes locations and good through August 15, 2011 – a $450 value. The summer passes are good for free bowling and shoe rental all summer long plus buy one get one free sessions of lazer tag and bumper cars. 

While the new mascot will reside at the Stars and Strikes Dacula location, he will make regular appearances at PR and community events at all Stars and Strikes locations when requested along with regular visits to Gwinnett Gladiators, Georgia Force and Gwinnett Braves and other community events. 

Tara Friedman, events manager at Stars and Strikes Dacula, said the new mascot is an easy-to- love, friendly character designed to help extend the name recognition of Stars and Strikes Family Entertainment outside of the centers.

 “We love getting requests from the community inviting Stars and Strikes to participate in popular events and activities,” Friedman said. “Our new mascot is friendly, cuddly and fun and we hope will be a welcome sight at community events across metro-Atlanta. But we need help from fans to help us give our loveable mascot a new name so that everyone recognizes and associates him with the family-centered fun that they’ve come to appreciate when enjoying time at Stars and Strikes!”

The “Name the Mascot” contest is open to anyone other than employees of Stars and Strikes Family Entertainment Center.  Each person may submit one name on the registration form, available at all Stars and Strikes locations, or enter the contest by logging on to www.starsandstrikes.com and clicking on their favorite center for an entry forms. Entries must be received at a location, or emailed by 5 p.m. EST on Saturday, May 21st. (EDST)  

The general manager and employees of Stars and Strikes in Dacula will review the submitted names and select the winner. In the event that the winning mascot name is submitted by more than one person, the winner of the contest will be determined by a random, blind drawing of people submitting the winning mascot name. By entering the contest, the winner consents to use of his/her name and image in public announcements. The winner also will be featured in Stars and Strikes news announcements, Twitter, and Facebook page postings.
